Man there's been alot of activity on here I have to catch up on.

I posted this on some pop punk newsgroups and I had two guys email me today. One from NJ and the other Indiana who said they are coming to the show. That is crazy! Anyone else here ever been in a band then you take a break or split up. Then you get back together and play and everything comes rushing back to you? It's bizarre. We were jamming on songs last week that I haven't played in years and all the drum parts came flooding back to me soon as we kicked in.

    ---------------------------------------------
Vancouvers The McRackins, are playing their first show in 5 years. The band is selecting a high octane set chosen from their catalogue of 200+ songs. The band will be playing Friday June 10th at the Pic Pub in Vancouver, BC with guests Daggermouth, The Red Scare and one other band TBA.

    More about The McRackins:

It has been 10 years since the music scene was introduced to The McRackins. The band hailing from Vancouver BC has been in somewhat of a hiatus over the last five years and has emerged with a vengeance. The McRackins have been hard at work since October of 2004 laying down a Bubblepunk recording of epic proportions. With over 7 months and 120 plus hours invested in this opus, it will not disappoint. Their 12th CD entitled ?Bat Out Of Shell? contains 15 brand new hook laden songs with enough harmonies to make Brian Wilson smile. ?Bat Out Of Shell? will be released in the early summer of 2005. The McRackins will also be doing a split 7 inch with Vancouver?s Paper Lanterns scheduled for a summer 2005 release.

Their debut album, "What Came First?", on Shredder was the band's first ever release in January of '95, and turned out to be a surprise hit from an unknown band. Although many were at first skeptical of Vancouver's strangely costumed McRackins, the band won over critics with their amazing release of 9 great full length albums in just 5 years, including '96s "In On The Yoke" on Shredder, which hit .14 on national college radio airplay in Canada. As if that weren't enough, they've released singles, EP's, and compilation tracks too numerous to mention, totaling over 100,000 in sales all over the world. In November '96 the band made a very successful excursion to Europe, touring 7 countries, and performing some acoustic sessions for the BBC and featured on John Peel. They've gotten rave reviews from everyone from Hit List to NME, and have been lighting up phone lines at radio stations across Canada and the U.S.

The band has continued to gather a cult following around the world since its inception. The McRackins have released so many records from labels around the globe, that their discography reads like a rap sheet of a seasoned criminal. The band has also been featured on following; MTV Europe, Much Music, Molson Canadian Ad, Feature Film ?Downhill Willie?
